Work.
Over the last 15 years, I’ve worked across 3 different countries directing, writing, designing characters and EP’ing.
Here’s some of the stuff I’ve been a part of.
You can scroll down and look at everything like a champ, or just skip to any of the sections here:

“Cupcake & Dino - General Services”
(52 x 11 mins, 2018/19, Netflix)
Creator
Showrunner and Exec Producer - 52 episodes
Director - 52 episodes
A buddy comedy about two siblings who run odd jobs from the basement of their uncle’s supermarket. Lots of heart, but also unicorns, murderous piles of trash, butter-obsessed undead armies and a grandma who’s a slab of steak.
Based on a original pitch I created and designed, the show got 2 seasons on Netflix in over 100 countries. Both seasons I was the showrunner, executive producer and the director of every one of its 52 episodes, along with an incredible crew of artists at Birdo Studio and Atomic Cartoons.
We were very proud to be nominated as one of the New York Times’ best new shows of 2018, as well as multiple Canadian Screen Awards.
You can watch both seasons of “Cupcake & Dino” here.
Development work
In the last few years I’ve done lots of development work around LA, both as a writer and as a vis-dev artist. Usually as both, delivering fully illustrated and fleshed out pitch bibles and IP takes to several clients.
These clients include Amazon Studios, Glitch, Sony Pictures Animation, Playstation Productions, Cartoon Network, 20th Century, Nickelodeon, eOne, Nelvana, Disney Jr and Spinmaster, to name a few (OK, more than a few). I was also under an overall deal with the good folks at Disney TVA, where I worked on several different series projects of my own.
My development work ranges from adult animation all the way to pre-school. It’s all the same to me. As long as the ideas and the tone speak to my sensibilities, we’re having fun.
“Oswaldo”
(52 x 11 mins, 2017, Cartoon Network)
Creator
Showrunner and Exec Producer - 26 episodes
Director - 13 episodes
Head of Story - 26 episodes
A fish-out-of-water comedy about the pretty normal life of a teenage penguin living in Rio de Janeiro.
This was the first series I ever created, directed, designed and produced. Not only it was an incredible learning experience for me, but it was also a very personal one - the show is heavily inspired by my own childhood as an indoor kid in sunny Rio.
“Oswaldo” first aired on Cartoon Network Brazil, and quickly expanded to all of Latin America. Now it’s been aired in over 40 countries around the world, not only on CN but also on Disney Channel, CBBC and Minimax.
“Ollie’s Pack”
(52 x 11 mins, 2020, Nickelodeon)
Co-creator
Executive Producer - 52 episodes
”Ollie’s Pack” is a high school comedy with a big frosting of action and sci-fi on top. It tells the story of the titular Ollie, a kid who’s given the Monster Pack: a powerful portal that can spring all sorts of creatures out of Monsterverse and into our world.
The show began as a winning short which I co-created and directed back in 2014 for the Nicktoons program. Then, years later, the show came to be as a co-production between Nickelodeon and Nelvana, with 2 seasons of 26 episodes each airing on Nick all over the world.
For both seasons I was an executive producer, overseeing every step of the process from scripts to animation.
The entire series is now available on Paramount Plus.
“Ba Da Bean”
(52 x 11 mins, 2021, Discovery Kids)
Co-creator
A pre-school comedy about Bean: a science experiment who ends up in the weird and wonderful world of the Art Room. Alongside his new crafty friends, Bean will learn that anyone can be an artist.
I created and pitched the original concept and designs for the show, which was later developed and produced by Birdo Studio and Chatrone in Brazil.
Directing
Need a director to direct things that are animated? I can do that too!
I have experience directing over 60 episodes of television, between “Cupcake & Dino” and “Oswaldo”, as well as two pilots for Disney TVA and one for Cartoon Network in the past few years. My work on “Cupcake & Dino” was nominated for Best Direction in the 2019 Canadian Screen Awards.
Before my series work, I directed commercials, music videos and shorts, including an award-winning music video for the Brazilian band Gloom and a short for Nickelodeon that got picked up for series and became “Ollie’s Pack”.
Character Design
Designing characters is the best part of my day. I’ve been doing it for as long as I remember, and sometimes people pay me to do it.
I’ve designed the main cast of almost every show I’ve created or co-created, and I’m also extremely hands on when it comes to the overall looks of any new projects I have in development.
